Re: observtiton, logic, folklore and presuppositions

The obvious irony in all this is that in considering the view that some races are in any way spiritually lagging behind, what are we to make of it when one of the forum members, who quotes Steiner's PoF frequently as an example of how thinking can be spiritually transfigured, would be, according to...

Re: observtiton, logic, folklore and presuppositions

Ashvin, Hilarious! I specifically said I hadn't formed a view about whether anthroposophy was racist because I felt it was too crackpot to even bother to study. Your response is a totally erroneous representation of my views on race and a long Steiner quote that undoubtedly holds a lot of meaning fo...

Re: Vote of confidence?

I've had no problem with your moderation. I ignore the Steiner threads anyway since it is more of a cult than a philosophy or science so I missed most of the controversy anyway. I would think racism would be fair topic to consider for any view if it is structurally built into the view. I have enoug...

Re: Vote of confidence?

As it has been brought to my attention that Eugene is now messaging other forum members with his cult-warning nonsense, after he's got his knickers in a knot about being put into pre-moderation mode, and trying to post yet another rant about Steiner being tantamount to a racist nazi, which I disall...

Re: what is not in mind is abstract

Again, I'm not sure we're any longer addressing the core question of Mark's topic, by getting into solipsism and whatnot, although perhaps Mark is finding these somewhat tangential comments helpful. If Mark is not finding it relevant, as it turns out, there is now a a topic started by Ashvin , in w...

Re: what is not in mind is abstract

Still I feel that for many proponents of idealism, transpersonal Mind does pretty much remain an inferred abstraction, and not a lived reality that one is never actually apart from. This statement is tricky, because it suggests Idealists might be veering towards solipsism. But if we avoid solipsism...

Re: Message from BK

I haven't had time to read through all of the responses so I'm sorry if this is just a repeat. But couldn't there be a section called "Anthroposophy" or "Specific Systems Of Thought" where those folks could go who want to interpret most discussions in the context of how they hav...

Re: Message from BK

I agree with Martin. But I do think the comments should be focused clearly on BK and his ideas and shouldn't be allowed to wander off into extended comments/debates on subjects and topics unrelated to the original topic and mostly unrelated to BK. There needs to be some flexibility but if the comme...

Re: Message from BK

My view of moderation would be that it should be nearly the same as the topic specific moderation with just a little more flexibility with topics mostly starting with an implicit or explicit tie in to BK and his ideas.

Re: Message from BK

So, yes; criticism is/should be allowed. Where else would you criticize BK but in the BK forum? (this is not a fanclub) Ok, so I'm coming around to a BK related forum dedicated to discussing his model/ideas being a worthwhile option. Not as a kind of BK booster club, so to speak, free of constructi...
