Re: Tomberg and Anthroposophy

Rodriel, How do you think the Catholic conception of Christ and the Incarnation can be reconciled with the anthroposophical conception? The Church radically rejects the idea that there were two Jesus children or that the Incarnation was only complete after the baptism, among other things. This ...

Re: Tomberg and Anthroposophy

You're right - we most definitely need to account for the evolution of consciousness in our reckonings of the future. I'll look forward to learning of this example you mention. What do people do when they need to solve certain issues that concern larger groups? They arrange a meeting, forum ...

Re: Tomberg and Anthroposophy

As everyone is aware, there are very few people, even among the spiritually inclined, who truly manage to develop a deep connection with anthroposophy. I personally found it easier to engage with Heidegger’s philosophy and find grounding in it than to study Steiner’s spiritual works and truly und ...

Re: Tomberg and Anthroposophy

> While the experiences themselves are mystical, they cannot claim scientific status —neither universally applicable nor verifiable. It follows that so-called “spiritual science” can only be psychologically convincing on the basis of faithful endorsement by a particular group of people, and objec ...

Re: Tomberg and Anthroposophy

Thank you all for this thread! I have not yet delved into VT in depth, but, like others, I find the claim that the Catholic Church is the most suitable host for a refurbished spiritual scientific impulse, a little perplexing. It is enough to point attention to one thing (well, two things) - Karma ...

Re: On Attaining Spiritual Sight (Part I)

PS: He doesn't designate consciousness to Being, because consciousness is an attribute of beings, which are possible because of Being.

Re: On Attaining Spiritual Sight (Part I)

It's hard to believe you don't see the inner axis described by Cleric. I think it's not possible. The only other option I can imagine is that you have jumped to the end of Cleric's post and only read the final recap? If not, would you please explain? Anyone who has at least some notion of metaphors ...

Re: On Attaining Spiritual Sight (Part I)

As mentioned, I am currently rereading *Meditations on the Tarot* and Tomberg’s *Lazarus* book. For me, it has been one of the most formative, if not the most formative, occult book I have read so far. What was your experience with this work? Guney, I was going to elaborate on this more, but I t ...

Re: On Attaining Spiritual Sight (Part I)

Hi all, I'm new here (actually I was active here over a decade ago under a different name), at the invitation of Ashvin. I'd like to respond to Guney on the subject of Tomberg and Steiner. I'd use the "reply with quote" feature but am not yet entirely confident about my ability to do this properly ...

Re: On Attaining Spiritual Sight (Part I)

It all depends on us admitting in humility that our mediative experience of BA, no matter how deep and profound and universal it feels, is still only a constrained intuition of even deeper scales of spiritual activity over which it is modulated. It is these deeper scales that are artistically ...
