Re: Phenomenological idealism: definitions of common terms

Step #2. Re: Criticism

"Thought forms the alters" - this is what I call abstract to the maximum (even beyond BK's view). Think of it this way - where can we possibly go from there to get a better, more precise understanding of what's actually happening in the development of sentient living beings? If you have a...

Re: Goff vs Carroll

Cleric, although it's always a treat to take part of the fruits of your Thinking, you didin't really humor Eugene. There are only sweeping generalisations above re: the actual teachings of others, no specifics. Which, I could imagine, might be hard to come by if your'e fully engaged in Imaginative T...

Re: Goff vs Carroll

Quantum Mechanics is not derministic, in the sense that your theory will only give you probabilities for different outcomes. So, given that, there is still a space where your Thinking can affect the outcome of your physical system (-> A,B, or C) and either of these outcomes would be withn the laws ...

Also, Hedge, you have only gotten rid of half of the interaction problem with your position. How the physical affects the mental still remains.

Might it be that the Truth is not arguable?
Let's just say that it we seems to get lost very quickly if you we try.
Lost in the duality?
or in the non-duality, maybe.
By the way; nice picture.

Re: Is there any good argument against dualism other than parsimony?

Let me put this a different way (given that hat I'm currently wearing for this conversation) * In the sense that there is only one sun, and we're all interconnected rays of this sunlight, i am not dualist. * In the sense that the singular sun operates in a surrounding darkness, i am dualist. Might ...
