Re: Dementia, brain cell death and hallucinations without using hallucinogens...

This study of women's brains while they are having an orgasm , proves that phenomenal consciousness exists during orgasm, even if almost all parts of the brain are deactivated or shut down and only a motor part is active (the cerebellum). (Phenomenal) Consciousness as an emergent property of the br...

This study proves that consciousness exists during orgasm, even if almost all parts of the brain or deactivated are shut down and only a motor part is active (the cerebellum). (Phenomenal) Consciousness as an emergent property of the brain is off the table, by this study. Consciousness has nothing t...

Re: Dementia, brain cell death and hallucinations without using hallucinogens...

Here is a video where dr. Emery N. Brown, M.D., Ph.D., Harvard Medical School, and MIT Cognitive Neuroscience shows us that the thalamus is much more active under general anesthesia than during the waking state. Dementia, brain cell death and hallucinations without using hallucinogens...

Re: The brain as a portal to parallel worlds

An avatar is a representation of a mind in a world. A body, a pinpoint of light. It is a body of some kind of appearance of you for other minds in a world.

new study says that a network of observers creates physical reality

A new study says that a network of observers creates physical reality. https://bit.ly/3k5WFPH Is there physical reality that is independent of us? Does objective reality exist at all? Or is the structure of everything, including time and space, created by the perceptions of those observing it? Such ...

Re: New study shows very low doses of LSD reduce broadband oscillatory power (even gamma)

The study above, mentioned by 5MeO-DMT_Philosopher, is with microdosis of LSD; I wounder if it's also the case with macrodosis of LSD; (reductions of broadband oscillatory power (even gamma).

Interesting study. There was an article about another study about LSD recently: https://bigthink.com/mind-brain/lsd-hallucinations/?fbclid=IwAR2Wr-onPkq_YpBrUXX5Bp3ygMqZftMG8Dn-fB88f17WRMUxMBQsF2fCWtQ For the paper, see here: https://www.cell.com/cell-reports/fulltext/S2211-1247(21)01163-3?_returnUR...
