Re: How to explain synchronicity?

As a followup, from a perspective where there is a singular, unified M@L, Freya Mathews writes in For Love of Matter pretty extensively on the poetic way in which the world-consciousness communicates with individualized consciousnesses -- synchronicity is a part of her whole theory of eros . That's...

Re: How to explain synchronicity?

I expect that BK's take on synchronicity would be in line with Jung's. You may have already read it, but in Decoding Jung's Metaphysics , he dedicates Chapter 4 to that topic. I have DJM but must admit I find it cringeworthy and haven't read far in it. While I felt liberated by "The Idea of th...

How to explain synchronicity?

Frequent coincidences of the meaningful variety have haunted me for years. But maybe not so much any more thanks to relational quantum mechanics. If interactions are the ontological primitive, rather than objects, my interaction with my surroundings has room for such happenings as, say, a cat food c...

I understand why BK is upset with Rovelli

In "Helgoland," Carlo Rovelli steers his magnificent Relational Quantum Mechanics straight into the void. He follows the threads of "interactions," his former ontological primitive, into the null space created in materialism when the material is removed and all that is left are r...

Re: Relational Quantum Mechanics and BK Idealism

Thanks. The SEP article I've read, and that's how far my understanding of RQM goes. I was interested if there's some source available on the recent comments. Also, I wholeheartedly recommend "Helgoland." For me, Rovelli's recounting of the turmoil and triumph of the formation of quantum m...

I am right now listening to Rovelli talk about Nagarjuna on Youtube:

Re: Relational Quantum Mechanics and BK Idealism

Is there any internet source available, for a peek into Rovelli's relationalism and especially what he says about Nagarjuna? I was very disappointed in BK calling master logician Nagarjuna - the Gödel of his time and place - just a "mystic". Here is the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy...

Re: Anyone had a hard time reconciling their psychedelic experiences?

I've had many psychedelic experiences, and even had my biggest breakthrough while sober. For me, only time and exposure to nature have allowed me to integrate my experiences. It may be trite to say a natural environment can be healing but it also happens to be true. Rocks, trees and natural water ar...

My Tripartite Myth from 1984: Atiero Universes

The Black Premise In darkness, a sound. I am looking down a long corridor in time. Without doubt, I am walking toward the final conclusion of my delusion, the door at the end. I ask; I am to be judged I fear. As I try the door it all begins, to come back to me, as I look down the seemingly endless ...

Re: Relational Quantum Mechanics and BK Idealism

Thanks for your answer. What attracts me to Rovelli is his considerable parsimony, though this comes at the cost of explanation; RQM doesn't attempt to answer many questions beyond the ontological primitive. But even as a fan of BK I have to admit this is pretty satisfying. It produced, for instance...
