Re: Mind at Large as Brain
I like the idea of a see of photons. Just light with nothing to hit or reflect off. The phrase 'dazzling darkness' comes to mind. Maybe like God in deep sleep before he dreams a new cycle, Who knows?

Re: Message from BK
I'm extremely allergic to views like "but it looks bad!". that attitude is essetially what drives cancel culture. If this isn't the place where depth is allowed, (resulting in discusisons that might be perceived as "criticism towards BK") i don't know what to say. So, yes; criti...

Re: Message from BK
Ok, so I'm getting some significant interest in a BK related sub-forum. So what would be the guidelines for moderating it? Are we saying that all discussion there should be focused on explicating or elaborating upon BK's model, and that any critique of the model, regardless of how well thought thro...

Re: Message from BK
How about a category in the forum dedicated to Bernardos work? Im not really interested in Steiner or Whitehead or specific religions but would love to engage with others on analytic idealism in a more focused way?

Bernardo's twitter
https://twitter.com/BernardoKastrup/status/1466874624529022985 A message from Bernardo. Have to agree with his sentiment. Many of the main posters on here have strong beliefs that contradict his views. Would be great if those people wrote their ideas in a book or created a podcast etc. There would b...

Re: 2 Great Men
From Christof perspective, if it aint broke then why fix it. Hmm - it's easy to pretend it's not broke if you ignore the hard problem and don't even know what Idealism is... The pain of the hard problem is obviously less acute for him than the pain of professional ridicule, humility etc. For most o...

Re: 2 Great Men
Yes, it's a really great format - Rupert and Bernardo versus the prevailing paradigm. In a way, it's a shame Christof did not acquaint himself with idealism before the show; it would have saved R&B having to explain themselves in so many different ways. On the other hand, this proved a useful w...

Re: Anil Seth
Remember, those we call materialists are probably better described as quantifiers. For one thing to independently act upon another it must be composed of separate and different quantities. The chimera of matter then must arrises to make sense of that. Consciousness as we experience it does not fit t...
