Re: Symphony

Thanks so much Cleric. I will have to keep these ideas in sight for much longer, before I can say I am satisfied with how I grasp them. For now, it's about digesting that all our individual perspective ultimately is, is a co-responsible dissonance. And that what freedom ultimately is, is the abilit...

Re: Pictorial Thinking

I don't know why the picture is exactly how it is and trough which resources it is manifested. Guney, this is normal. It’s actually related to the anthill. It’s normal that when we begin to behold the elemental spectrum it takes shapes and forms quite independent of our conscious activity. And this...

Re: Essay: The Phonograph Metaphor (Part 2)

The outfit is a present from Ashvin, I'm trying it on :D :) That's easy. While I am misaligned, I am beyond any doubt not the exclusive product of my environment. I find my sense of individuality on the one hand, in my destiny, in my name. Even if I am not conscious of how these were shaped and wha...

Re: Essay: The Phonograph Metaphor (Part 2)

Indeed, the visualization was helpful to me too, and, here we go, I've drafted a back of the ✉️ personal, all-in-one take on it. (I know you don't agree with where language stands in relation to the pictorial flow in this image. This is only a picture of my current sense): Wow! :) That's amazing, F...

Re: Pictorial Thinking

Hi Cleric, would you say that when I take the concept, let's say the concept of freedom, and try to get from the word-perception into the meaning which is anchored, it can be called meditation too? Maybe the concept can be experienced in vivid pictures which embodies the meaning. Yes. Let's not for...

Re: Pictorial Thinking

From this perspective it should be easier to see how the vividness in which we imagine the envelope in meditation is completely secondary. Even if we can visualize it in photorealistic vividness, we still can't see anything of what is written inside. What's inside comes from the opposite direction,...

Re: Pictorial Thinking

What mental image should we use for our meditative concentration? The image itself is not of prime importance (although it may have an impact if it is emotionally charged, thus initially more neutral images are preferable). What counts is that the image should anchor our more encompassing intuition...

Federica wrote: Thu Feb 29, 2024 4:14 pm Thank you, Cleric. Why are you sharing them in this format?
Because this is the original :)

I thought that it may be useful if someone wants to share the essays as something self-packaged, without any reference to the forum.
