Re: Tom Campbell and his view of virtual reality and information

My first impression of Campbell from briefly encountering his work before stumbling onto Kastrup was that Campbell was indulging in wishful thinking sometimes (alternate realities, free will, etc.)

Re: Do we live in a virtual reality?

Idealism is simulation theory without a computer in a base reality. Mind is the base, and is fundamental, inexplicable in terms of anything else.

Chalmers also writes about simulation and deities in his "Idealism and the Mind-Body Problem" paper: https://philpapers.org/archive/CHAIAT-11.pdf

Re: Universal Consciousness or Infinite Universes?

A multiverse isn't necessarily infinite like in physicalism. A multiverse doesn't necessarily contain mostly chaotic universe bubbles incapable of life, consciousness, or civilization. Doesn't a multiverse like in physicalism, combined with idealism, result in a Boltzmann brain problem?

Re: IAI - Consciousness and the world

Horgan is nauseating. Speaking as a prominent, specialized arch-skeptic, his dismissal of idealism as narcissism, a fallacy, demonstrates how poorly physicalism defends itself. Horgan, paraphrasing: "The mind-body problem has multiple per-individual solutions."
