Re: What causes bad trips?

Although I used to dislike the idea of Nothingness as the Ground, I now find myself increasingly drawn to it. So I appreciate what Adur and Eugene say above.

Re: Cleric's Responses to Mystical Metaphysics (or How to Make a Logical Argument)

"Finally, someone who adopts our beliefs!" The only way I can describe this heartening feeling is as if one witnesses a bird that finds its way out of a cage and flies freely. Neither I nor Ashvin take credit for this. An interesting statement- that you can speak for Ashvin. Similar writi...

Re: Cleric's Responses to Mystical Metaphysics (or How to Make a Logical Argument)

If we don't get too caught on the labels of "Atlantis, Lemuria, etc." and the automatic associations we make, then it is nearly impossible to deny that some stage of evolution like Lemuria and Atlantis would have occurred for the Earth if we also want to hold to the metamorphic progressio...

Re: Cleric's Responses to Mystical Metaphysics (or How to Make a Logical Argument)

Hey Ben, how about this "killer" from Schop?
Schop was also mysogynistic and most imperfect. But he did not suffer from a will-to-wisdom complex. That was what I was objecting to - and really, the sheer silliness of thinking (sic) that blonde hair has special powers.

Re: Cleric's Responses to Mystical Metaphysics (or How to Make a Logical Argument)

Well the "blond hair" quote is a killer of Steiner's will-to-wisdom. Personally, I object to the idea that we can willingly make an effort to advance spiritually. As Schop says, you can do what you will, but you can't will what you will. If you feel a compulsion (inner or outer), you can m...

Re: Cleric's Responses to Mystical Metaphysics (or How to Make a Logical Argument)

Today we're in position to participate in this process fully consciously, by working on our organization so that our "I" can awake more and more into the higher order processes. Nature can't help us anymore. Cleric, when you say "we", who do you envision will be doing this? Your...

Re: Anna Brown

Thanks for reopening the thread, Dana. Interesting coincidence for you! Christine Breese makes some good points. Additionally, there is in nonduality teaching the difference between our perception of spiritually making effort and receiving grace. It's expressed well in this short video by Rupert Spi...

Anna Brown

Anna Brown's nonduality videos are fun to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f28-evHnX3c A couple of quotes from this one: "There is no work to be done, because there is no you, there is only life appearing as...this." "There is no path, there is no journey because it is a complet...

Re: Rudolf Steiner: Vaccines to Kill The Soul?!

So long-valued forum members are egoic dualists and if they deny it, it proves they're egoic dualists. There is only one path to truth and it's yours..
Such barefaced, elitist cheek! Such passive aggressive bullying! Such nonsense!
