Re: Greer post on philosophy

Again, what you write above is extremely vague and therefore not helpful to me. Can you quote something I wrote to JMG and explain why or how I should "present myself differently" so as not to be censored by people like him? I am just patiently and politely asking you for specificity here...

Re: Greer post on philosophy

DKP, I have no problem with constructive feedback. But I need more detail for the above to be constructive. What, for ex., in my comment to you did you find "impatient" or "prickly"? If you are referring to exchanges with Eugene, FB, Jim, once in awhile Ben or Lou, then that's a...

Re: Greer post on philosophy

JMG states that Steiner "tried to prove that thinking really could grasp the objective truth about the world." Is that a reasonably correct statement? No, because JMG means it in a dualistic way. We should really internalize the notion of "co-creating" the world through Thinking...

Re: If thinking could mean...

dkp, so nice to meet you! One thing that really speaks to me in your response your naming the process of moving from a nonverbal experience (a question) into forming the words; but even more I like how your 'thinking' includes the interaction itself with the other, a continuing that is grounded in ...

Re: If thinking could mean...

"If thinking could be exactly what I want (need...know...)it to mean, it would mean....." Thanks, fb, I can tell you're a Gendlin reader, as I am. If thinking could be exactly what I want it to mean, it would mean, putting a question into words, asking it, listening for a response, and re...

Re: "Idealism and Consciousness": My Comment/Challenge to BK

Forgive me for intruding, but I can't resist adding a quote from Kuhlewind. He doesn't speak in terms of a "structured spiritual reality" but rather of the "superconscious" that gives rise to the totality of our experience. This term is decidedly less Christian in orientation tha...

Re: Anthroposophy for Dummies

Yeah, so how is that different from a complement? ;) Ashvin, you're right, that was weak. It's really more like "agonizingly long-winded and far too fond of argumentation." But even so, it's growing on me, I guess. By "what it should be ‘seen’ as", I mean the thing that ...

Re: Anthroposophy for Dummies

Thanks, DKP, for the fine, even if exaggerated, complement :) And also for the link - I will defnitely give it a read soon. In case you missed it, I discuss Husserl a bit in my latest essay (linked below). I am also just becoming more familiar with his phenomenology, and I agree the parallels with ...
