How about In plane of mathematical reasoning?
Yes, this would correspond to higher perception of the math canyons - something like the black and white trees of theorems. Now the metamorphosis of this higher perception is still a stream of becoming.
Not just higher (which unfortunately in academic language means usually "more abstract") but also lower perception, in a very concrete visualization. Looking at a sheet of paper from the side, you can see it as a line. Moving your perspective either below or above (or both) the line level, the plane becomes observable.
It is possible to develop the stream of becoming of a new mathematical language, which from its foundation speaks itself in the forms of streams of becoming.

Holding our contradictions
with love
accomplishes more than
trying to resolve them.
Why not resolve them with love?
Sure, as long as it comes with awareness that all resolutions arise with an evil twin that will also demand to be loved.
The point in just holding them is to become the empty channel for the love force to flow through ro create the next resolution. Who or what is the doer?
Be calm - Be clear - See the faults - See the suffering - Give your love

Symbiotic life is a dynamic process and not a resolved product. All productions have an evil twin. Opposite of symbiosis? "Eternity loves the productions of time."

The trouble is that we are always midway. Below us are the rules that we can comprehend. If we want, we can choose to lock ourselves in them, for example, by making single steps and turning at right angles. But at the same time we are never fully conscious of the rules that shape our current free activity. This is not a contradiction, our activity is never absolutely free. It always acts within the multilayered constraints. Such is the case with the canyon picture. If we flow low within the canyon we have relative freedom there, we can go freely from one bank to the other, while we sail. We feel as if we are selecting our states of becoming freely but in reality the canyon shapes the palette of the possible states that we select from. The canyon acts for us as strange attractor. Through inner work we can rise above the canyon. And perceive and choose from a wider palette of states. But this situation is again relative. We should imagine that this higher state is again within a higher-order canyon, that still shapes the palette of our higher states. This shouldn't cause despair because it's not some infinite complexity of canyons within canyons. The more we go towards the higher order canyons the more they become more general and archetypal.

Your canyon metaphor seems to come from the basic notion of wave, and a particular position of a particle - viewpoint of an observer - in a wavy landscape.
The problem with the landscape of waves, ie. real complex plane, is that it is not constructible, because real numbers are not constructible, and the frame of Cartesian coordinate system is very problematic and limiting on this level of inquiry and evolution of mathematical cognition. The current theory of "canyons" is still in the crayon eating stage, and prevents better comprehension of planar forms in our collective mathematical cognition and how we communicate that in language. "Manifolds" remain mumbo-jumbo to most, not because people are stupid, but because that's what the concept really is.
