This is the main exponent of Ayn Rand objectivism - he's been very publicly critical of idealism recently (mainly Don Hoffman). Could his arguments be levelled towards Kastrup?

Indeed. Brook's hero called Kant the most evil person who lived, so sounds like he is on a crusade. Some don't 'get' idealism, some like him consider the thing they don't get to be extremely dangerous.

Right, and the former is a hallmark of any religious fundamentalism fueled by inner neurosis.
