Good opportunity to suggest that CJ ask RLK: WTF is up with him not talking with BK on the Closer to Truth series that delves into ontology and the nature of consciousness, despite repeated suggestions that he do so?

Here out of instinct or grace we seek
soulmates in these galleries of hieroglyph and glass,
where mutual longings and sufferings of love
are laid bare in transfigured exhibition of our hearts,
we who crave deep secrets and mysteries,
as elusive as the avatars of our dreams.

Re: Robert Lawrence Kuhn on Theories of Everything
Just listening to this now, and BK is in discussions with RLK to be on Closer To Truth, though nothing firmed up yet. Seems that it will eventually happen though, which should garner a significant audience in the academic and scientific circles that BK and Essentia are going after.

Re: Robert Lawrence Kuhn on Theories of Everything
Yes discussed around 1:22. It definitely makes sense for Bernardo to be on there. Chalmers was the closest to going near idealism from any of the Closer to Truth episodes I’ve seen, and he didn’t really discuss it much. RLK did bring in theology people for the big “Free Will” program he did, but with idealism people either seem to get it or not (independent of any theistic beliefs). I wonder what determines that? Maybe you have to have had certain experiences, be it meditation, out of body, psychedelic, mystic etc before you can see through the apparent ‘solidity’ of things…
Ideas are certain original forms of things, their archetypes, permanent and incommunicable, which are contained in the Divine intelligence. And though they neither begin to be nor cease, yet upon them are patterned the manifold things of the world that come into being and pass away.
