Proof that there is no Proof has been Proved

Mathematicians at the Institute of Mathematical Paradoxes (IMP) have announced that they have proved that there cannot be any proof of anything.

“This is an historic achievement,” said Dr. Proova Null, Professor of Mathematical Proofs at the University of Paradoxia. “For many years, we have suspected that nothing whatsoever can be proved, but now we have proved it.”

Celebrations were cancelled, however, when someone asked, “If nothing can be proved, then how can you prove that?”

Commented Dr. Null, “There’s always some jerk who has to ruin everything.”
