I agree with David at 1:12 that ontological claim of idealism is a logical "leap" from the epistemological parsimony argument. However, that can not be used as an argument against idealism, because ANY ontology (what things ARE) is always a logical leap from epistemology (how things look or how they behave and what we know about it). Any other ontology - be it materialism, neutral monism or any other, is not in any better position from this perspective and still requires the same logical leap from epistemology to ontology. However, the difference is that in case of materialism or neutral monism, such leap also goes against the parsimony argument and also faces the epistemological "hard problem of consciousness".
