Do we live in a virtual reality?

Do we live in a virtual reality rendered by a "computer"? So the computer that renders our reality is in another reality frame, right? Or are we "just" a virtual reality - a simulation - in the mind of God? Then the next question would be: Who or what is that God? And is he/she/it "real"? Many philosophers and scientists today argue that we live in a virtual reality. Can Idealism deal with this view?

Good question! Also seems logical that God's dream can include a scenario in which apparent beings create a simulated reality for other beings to exist in.

Idealism is simulation theory without a computer in a base reality. Mind is the base, and is fundamental, inexplicable in terms of anything else.

Idealism without a computer/number theory is possible, but many idealist theories are computational. For example the "One" of neo-platonic etc. absolute idealism is computational theory, ideal computer of p-adic number theory as a base reality.
