Any topics primarily focused on metaphysics can be discussed here, in a generally casual way, where conversations may take unexpected turns.

But I don't see how any further attempts to call their attention to PoF, for ex., are going to help. They simply aren't interested in considering anything which strays too far from their established intellectual framework.
I guess it's all relative to some extent, in that given where the intellectual framework was at in academia during the time they began their post-grad work, no doubt they feel that their ideation has evolved a long way from that point. Yet I too have this nagging feeling that they'd be better off not having entered it in the first place, as being anchored in it tends to act as a drag effect holding them back.
Here out of instinct or grace we seek
soulmates in these galleries of hieroglyph and glass,
where mutual longings and sufferings of love
are laid bare in transfigured exhibition of our hearts,
we who crave deep secrets and mysteries,
as elusive as the avatars of our dreams.
